Do you know God’s plan?

Do you ever have days that you wish God would open up the heavens and call out your name, and tell you the answer to the question you have? Do you wonder if you are following God’s perfect plan for your life? How do you know that you are following his plan?

I’m not going to lie, this has been tough for me as a Christian. There is no map or playbook that is given to each one of us the day we are born that tells us what path to follow. Or is there?

Well… in a sense there is a playbook. The Bible is the playbook for Christians. It may not give us specific answers to our questions, such as work for this company vs. that company. But, it does tell us, “If I delight myself in the Lord, he will give me the desires of my heart.” Psalm 37:4

What if the desires of our heart are not good for us, such as overindulging in alcohol or drugs? Will God succumb and give us the desires of our heart? The real question is, if we are delighting in the Lord and walking with him, why are we desiring to take pleasure in things that are harmful to us, such as overindulging in alcohol and drugs?

In Hebrews 12:10, “Our earthly fathers disciplined us for a little while, as they thought best, but God disciplines us for our good, so we may share in his holiness.” To me, this verse says, God is good enough to bring us back on track if we stray from his plan. But, we need to stay in contact with our Father, so we can hear his voice.

When you have a large decision to make, do you shake a magic 8 ball? Or do you seek God’s face? Do you look to the astrological signs or to the God who created you?

Whatever decision you are facing in your life, whether it is a new job, a move to a new city, or a smaller decision, it can seem monumental at that time. Remember, your Heavenly Father wants to be the one you to come to.

Blessings Sweet Friends,

Stacy
